Short Interview with Noeh, Stiyaha King
What is your main purpose in life?
Noeh sighs and raises his gaze from the ancient text sprawled across the heavy oak desk. He closes the book, and the gentle slap of paper against paper fills the throne room along with the whiff of age and wisdom. His mouth turns down at the corner. “Win the war against the Gossum. Keep the humans from slavery. Protect the Keep and her inhabitants.” He raises an eyebrow. “What else is there?”
What is your most important value?
His jaw tightens, and his blue eyes fleck with gold. “Honor. Without it, I am nothing.”
What would you do if you had to take a mate?
Noeh blinks. "Really? You're asking me that question?"
I shiver in my chair. "Yeah, I think it's valid."
His gaze focuses on me, intense and purposeful. "No one could ever make me take a mate."
"Not even your Goddess, Alora?" I smile.
He grumbles and runs his hand through his short blond hair. His bicep bulges under his hand-made cotton shirt. "I pray she never demands that of me."
